Proof of Gains Technologies Inc. (“Proof of Gains,” “POG,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Proof of Gains mobile application and related website and services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to users.

Information we collect

When you use Proof of Gains, we may collect information that you provide directly to us, including your email address, display name, profile information, profile photo, account information, transformation information, progress photos, reports submitted about content, and communications you send to us.

Users may sign in using email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple where available. When you use a third-party sign-in service, we receive information permitted by that service. For example, Apple may provide a private relay email address if you choose Hide My Email.

Proof of Gains allows users to capture progress photos using their device camera. Progress photos used for transformations are intended to be captured directly through the app rather than selected from an existing photo library. Photo library access may be used for other features, such as selecting or changing a profile image.

We may also collect technical information necessary to operate the service, such as device information, app version, operating system, authentication information, subscription status, crash or diagnostic information, and push-notification identifiers.

How we use information

We use information collected through Proof of Gains to provide and operate the app, authenticate users, save and display transformations and progress photos, provide social and community features, manage subscriptions, provide customer support, prevent abuse or fraudulent activity, moderate user-generated content, investigate reports, improve app reliability, and send notifications when users have enabled them.

We may also use information to enforce our terms and policies, protect users and the service, and comply with applicable law.

Public content

Proof of Gains includes social and community features. If you choose to make a transformation public, information associated with that transformation, including progress photos and related profile information, may be visible to other Proof of Gains users.

Users control whether eligible transformations are public or private through settings available in the app. Do not upload information or images that you do not want others to see when using public features.

Camera and photo library access

Proof of Gains may request permission to access your device camera in order to capture progress photos and other images used within the app. The app may also request photo library access for features such as selecting or changing a profile photo. Camera and photo permissions can be changed through your device settings.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, Proof of Gains may use Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications related to your account, transformations, social activity, or other app features. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

Subscriptions and payments

Proof of Gains may offer paid subscriptions, including POG Premium. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store or Google through Google Play. Proof of Gains Technologies Inc. does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card information.

We may receive information from Apple or Google about the status of your subscription, such as whether it is active, expired, cancelled, renewed, or refunded, so that we can provide the appropriate features within the app.

User-generated content and moderation

Users may upload photos and other content to Proof of Gains. We may review, restrict, remove, or disable access to content that is reported or that we believe violates our policies, applicable law, or the rights or safety of other users.

Users may be able to report content, block other users, or otherwise limit interactions with other users. We may retain records relating to reports, moderation actions, or enforcement decisions when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Service providers

We may use third-party service providers to operate Proof of Gains, including services that provide hosting, authentication, cloud infrastructure, app distribution, payments, push notifications, and related technical functionality. These may include providers such as Apple, Google, Firebase, and Bubble. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to us and are subject to their own privacy practices and contractual obligations.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Proof of Gains, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements.

When an account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account where reasonably possible, subject to information we may be required or permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Account deletion

Users may request deletion of their Proof of Gains account through the account-deletion feature available within the app or by following the instructions on our Delete Account page.

Deleting an account may permanently remove access to transformations, photos, profile information, and other account data. Certain information may be retained where required or permitted by law or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, or dispute resolution.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet-based or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

Proof of Gains is intended for adults and is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that information has been collected from a child under 18, we may take steps to remove the information and terminate the associated account.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your data is used. You may also change certain privacy settings directly within the app, including whether eligible transformations are public.

International users

Proof of Gains may be used by people in different countries. Information may be processed or stored in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including Canada, the United States, or other locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we take reasonable steps to handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Proof of Gains changes or as legal and regulatory requirements evolve. When we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and provide additional notice where appropriate.
